Pet Peeves

The Richard has many pet peeves the top one used to be lateness. Since his fiance is perpetually late he has gotten over that. Now the Richard is declaring a new top pet peeve. Ungratefulness. It's ugly and immature. Several years ago the Richard's grandfather started hiring a friends grandson for odd jobs. He was a nice kid, and since the Richard's grandfather was in a position to help, he helped this kid get into the carpenters union. It's a very good opportunity, good pay, excellent benefits and a great retirement package. When my cousin moved out of the upstairs apartment the Richard's grandparents offered it to Charlie because he needed a better apartment. Eventually we all became friends since both the Richard's father and brother were also union carpenters. Over the course of time the Richard and Charlue became rpommates. This week the Richard's father tried to give Charlie some advice, and in the course of giving advice an argument
ensued and harsh things were said, and tempers flared. Now it has been five days since the argunent and Charlie is still being an ass and it infuriated the Richard that he is being an ungrateful whelp. In an effort to resolve the situation he tried to talk to Charlie and the ass refused to have a conversation at this point the Richard thinks the best solution is to kick the living shit out of Charlie.

Free Markets

The Richard has long been a free market supoorter and believes that demand will influence supply. This is why the Richard is against forcing regulations on industry. This

article on MSNBC is proof of the Richard's belief. Environmental regulations are unnecessary, people will demand change and suppliers will accomadate on their own. Forcing companies to do things will has not, nor will not get results. Fuel economy standards for example have not worked and will not work. Give fuel companies incentives and they will change. Give them tax relief, but do not give them demands and fines.

G.I. Joe

The Richard has long been a fan of G.I. Joe. Since the days of the cartoon when he was a boy G.I. Joe was a centerpiece of his life. He had entire collections of G.I. Joe's waiting for battle, Air Craft Carriers, Jets, and an entire arsenal waited to battle the force's of evil. So in theory, The Richard should be pleased at the prospect of a live action movie as shown here on IMDB, but after reviewing the description you will notice that G.I. Joe now stands for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity (G.I.J.O.E.)." Paramount, The Richard demands that you stop being ashamed of your country that you cover up the fact the G.I. Joe is the " A Real American Hero." This travesty must not go on, The Richard commands that it must end!! The Richard urges everyone to read this story, the story behind the face of the G.I. Joe action figures we all played with, and The Richard demands that you, each and every one of you contact Paramount, your congressmen (or women if you prefer PC speak), the President, and demand that this travesty, and massacre of our childhood's be ending.

Waiting

The Richard despises waiting and right now he is waiting at the party rental place to return tables and chairs. Who needs to eat lunch anyway? How dare they eat.

Engagement party

Despite all the headaches we experienced during the last week the party was a sucess. The Richard's family enjoyed it, his fiance's family enjoyed it. The only exception to that was his mother, whom had an attitude all night long. The Richard is at his wit's end. Eventually things will work out, hopefully before the holidays and the wedding.

Interviews

The Richard had an interview last week and today his fiance has one. In many ways this is more important than the interview the Richard had last week. Mainly because if she were to get a job she would be home sooner but also EZPASS and the Verrazano bridge will stop reaching into his pocket and mugging him like a common thief. So cross your fingers and say a prayer.

Did you ever want to just give up?

The Richard is feeling odd today, he is usually upbeat and positive, but not today. The Richard feels like quiting his job and just going home and laying in bed. This has been a hard few weeks and it's starting to really get to him. The Richard just wants people around him to be happy, but it seems like that is not meant to be. He is usually very optimistic, but the last week has really beat him down. The Richard wishes it was as easy as his fiance makes it sounds. He would just pack up everything, elope to Vegas, and move somewhere new, new job, new friends, new life for him and the fiance. Unfortunately, it isn't that simple.

Engagement Party Redux

The Richard is not pleased. What was supposed to be a fun and exciting event has been turned upside down? The reasons for this vary, but include parents, stress, and nutty girlfriend! Well his girlfriend isn't exactly nutty, but she is a control freak and very emotionally driven, so when things don't turn out like they should, she gets dissappointed, sad, and despondent. The Richard is confused as to how to deal with this, and every night as he awaits his fiance, he is so stressed about what kind of mood she will come home in.

Engagement Party

The Richard and his fiance will be celebrating their engagement this Saturday. The Richard feels a little leary about it, but he thinks it will be a good time. It will be having a 1970'd theme and it will be fun to decorate. Everything in the Richard's life is going well, some days are rocky, but for the most part he is pleased. Sometimes people just don't like one another and The Richard is trying to accept that. For some reason The Richard's fiance and mother have not connected. He does not know why this is, because usually his mother is easy going, but she has had a rough year and he surmises that this year has taken it's toll on her. However, the Richard will be spenidng his life with his fiance, and he hopes that someday they can come to terms with one another, because they are the two most important people in his life. The Richard wants to confront his mother and ask if something is wrong, but his fiance is stubborn and would rather let things fester. She is neurotic and anal about things and she constantly thinks about things. The Richard thinks this makes things worse, he believes everything should be in the open.

Interview

The Richard is pleased, he has just completed a sucessful interview.
Whether or not The Richard recieves an offer is not the barometer of
sucess, The Richard was relaxed confident and a good conversationalist.


The Richard has few faults, but one of them is his shyness, this often
makes The Richard stiff and quiet, he has triumphed over his inner
self.

I-Phone

The Richard will be receiving an I-Phone within the week. The Richard is pleased. He usually buys the cheaper phones because he is....well cheap. This time however, the Doreen, the Richard's fiance, has purchased the I-Phone for him. This pleased the Richard. The Richard was so pleased he went out and bought an I-Phone for the fiance, whom has been lusting after the I-Phone since day one. If the Richard had known that the evil Apple Corporation would ship the phone all the way from California, he would have bought it in a store. Perhaps he will stea...umm borrow, the Doreen's toy.
